The Gallery@Spencer Lofts is proud to feature selected work by Rafael Ayala.
A young artist from Chelsea, Rafael brings a raw talent to his canvas and plywood surfaces. With acrylic paint/finishes he uses traditional and unusual brush, spraying and etching techniques. His choice of media includes soil, ash, found objects and toys.

First of all I’d like to congratulate Rafael for his work! He has a very bright future ahead of him. Also, I would like to stress this show also signals that it is now time the Gallery at Spencer Lofts designate a curatorial team to help better select and edit what goes on a show, in order to have more cohesive exhibits; the Gallery also needs to have a say in pricing the pieces in a realistic manner.
